The two cabinets are made entirely from scrap and reclaimed wood. It's embarrassing
to have a shop space as big as the rest of the house, but damn it's nice to have a shop.
Still need to make the drawers, but it's great to have a counter at the right height
after 3 years. Top is a maple butcher block, backsplash is new maple. 24" gap in
the middle is sized for a dishwasher. I don't plan to get one, but thinking of future
owners. I plan to slide in a small, roll-out kitchen island.
Didn't take long. Celebrated by making an apple pie.
